The Scorecard addresses environmental and social sustainability issues specifc to biofuels projects,
based on the sustainability criteria of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels. The primary objective
is to provide a tool for thinking through the complex issues associated with biofuels throughout their
entire life cycle. The Scorecard is designed to be a living document, improving and evolving over
time as additional issues are incorporated.
